Dear editor:
How many venues do we need for the performing arts? We have the Muses, 5-Star and Pocket theaters, and Magic Springs. Even the old Central Theater may be available. And there's the convention auditorium and Horner Hall. A five-star hotel would be nice in the Majestic Hotel space, but I have another suggestion. How about contracting with Hot Springs National Park for hot water for pools of varying degrees of hot? You want visitors? You would have visitors. Have you been to Steamboat Springs, Colo.? Pools below the mountains, beautiful setting.
Barring that, downtown needs a grocery store and a drugstore. Remember when Safeway and Walgreens were downtown?
