"Well. Ain't that just swanky," said Grady Pitts, when his young daughter, Shelia Scott, came home and told him about something cool that had happened that day. So when Sheila Scott and her daughter, Jamie Scott, opened a resale clothing store in October 2009, the name seemed to fit, and Just Swanky Consignment Boutique was born. "Mother and I needed to have a garage sale, so we filled the first store by emptying our closets," said Jamie Scott in the release.
Just Swanky Consignment Boutique is located on the corner of Ouachita Avenue and Orange Street at 340-A Ouachita Ave., and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. "Or as long as the 'Open' folding sandwich board is outside," said Jamie Scott.
Just Swanky is an upscale consignment boutique specializing in ladies clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags and accessories. "At any time, a woman can walk in and purchase the latest styles, or find those chic, classic pieces that will add to or revamp her wardrobe," said Jamie Scott. Currently in stock are summer's hottest fashions -- maxi dresses, palazzo pants, sundresses, rompers, tunics, swim suits and cover ups -- from Michael Kors, Sophie Max, BCBG, Ann Taylor Loft, Cynthia Rowley, Calvin Klein, Max Studio and Ann Taylor (just to name a few). Swanky's extensive handbag collection includes Coach, Brighton, Dooney & Bourke, Brahmin and Betsey Johnson.
"Every day is a special event at Swanky. Our merchandise is priced so that everything is affordable, and our customers walk out happy. We have 20 percent to 75 percent off daily, as well as our new Swanky Shoppers Club. By completing five purchases at Swanky, the cardholder earns 25 percent off their sixth purchase," said Jamie Scott.

Just Swanky is expanding to include a maternity section and a cocktail/evening wear section. "We are looking for good quality maternity clothes and evening wear for all seasons. But no prom dresses, please."
