Munro American Family Footwear Outlet store is celebrating 27 years of service to customers from around the world.
The store opened on March 3, 1988, and while there have been a few changes in the past year, Munro still offers the same great prices and service. A sale is going on through Saturday to celebrate this anniversary.
The store has added a new section of blemished shoes. Shoes in this department have a minor defect and are offered at deeply discounted prices.
Munro Footwear Outlet Store is owned by Munro & Co. Inc. Munro operates two manufacturing facilities with a distribution center in Hot Springs. The outlet store stocks closeouts and irregular footwear manufactured by Munro.
"Our shoes sell in retail for approximately $150 to $200," said Holly Twyford, manager. "We offer them at a discount price of $60."
The outlet offers a large selection of men's, women's and children's casual and dress shoes and boots.
"We have lots of styles and they are the ultimate in comfort," she said. "We have sizes and widths you can't find anywhere else."
Women's styles come in sizes 4 to 14 and slim to wide widths and men's styles come in sizes 7 to 15 in narrow, medium and wide widths.
Munro American Family Footwear Outlet is located one mile off the King Expressway at 3770 Malvern. Take the Malvern Avenue exit. Outlet hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The telephone number is 262-6190.
