HSU to host ASBTDC seminars March 9

ARKADELPHIA -- The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at Henderson State University will present two seminars in Arkadelphia on March 9 to help new business owners get started.

Both sessions will be held at Henderson's Community Education Center, 640 S. Sixth St., Suite A.

"Starting a Business in Arkansas" will prepare participants for the intensive business planning process, identify major steps crucial to starting a business, discuss key issues that affect business success and highlight startup requirements and common pitfalls entrepreneurs will face.

A $30 fee is required to attend. Veterans can attend for free.

The session will be held from 3-5 p.m. Chelsea Goza, training coordinator for Henderson's ASBTDC, will be the speaker.

Later that evening, "How To Write a Business Plan" will discuss the business planning process in detail. A business plan helps to define concepts, evaluate the competition, determine risks and estimate costs. The business plan format will be explained and illustrated.

The cost to attend the workshop is $35. The workshop will be held from 5:15-7:45 p.m. Goza will be the speaker.
