Cycles N Rodz goes extra mile

George Grimes called Cycles N Rodz because his battery on his 100th anniversary Harley-Davidson Heritage Special had lost its cranking power. Cycles N Rodz offered to pick up him and his bike so he could get the battery replaced. Of course, like any other customer, Grimes was concerned about the price of the motorcycle hauling service, the price of the battery and the labor to install his battery.

First of all, Grimes is a member of the local H.O.G. Chapter, so the bike hauling is free to him and any member of a motorcycle group in Hot Springs, and because he is a veteran, the price of the battery was discounted by 10 percent. All said and done, Grimes called back and asked Cycles N Rodz to come get him and his bike.

Grimes and Phil Dowden, the general manager of Cycles N Rodz, had "a great conversation" about Hot Springs Village and their past accomplishments and Grimes even tried to sell Dowden a house on Balboa Lake. When Grimes made it back to the shop, they took his bike out of the enclosed trailer and made arrangements with their Harley-rained technician, Chris Conrad, to replace the battery. Conrad also checked the air pressure in the tires and checked the overall condition of the bike because Grimes was going to make the trip back to the Village on his bike.

"Cycles N Rodz thanks Mr. Grimes for his patronage, and wishes him many miles of fun and travel with his Harley," said Dowden in the release.

Cycles N Rodz is located at the corner of Airport Road and the expressway, atop Hot Rod Hill, or call 501-760-7639.
