Lakeside High school senior Karli Herron, seated center, signs a national letter of intent to atend Tyler (Texas) Junior College on a softball scholarship. She has earned all-state and all-conference honors in softball her first three varsity seasons, returning to Lakeside as a senior after attending Lake Hamilton High School. She comes off a senior basketball season that Lakeside finished 5A-South runner-up to state champion Hot Springs and played in the Class 5A state tournament. In addition, she plays third base for the 18-and-under Texas Firecrackers Gold national traveling team.
