Visitor's Chapel A.M.E. Church, 319 Church St., will host "Take Me Higher," a Gospel music ministry workshop April 24-26.
The workshop is to provide instruction and technique in order to enhance both delivery and performance aspects of music ministry. The clinic will include training and rehearsal.
Clinicians include the Rev. Douglas A. Jones, pastor of Garret Chapel MBC, Hope, Karliss Chapple, choral director at Shorter College in North Little Rock, and the Rev. R.J. Stevenson, pastor of the Infinity Church, Conway. The workshop is for musicians, singers, ensembles and choirs of all skill levels. The organizers expect 100 participants.
Registration begins at 6 p.m. April 24. The workshop continues at 9 a.m. April 25. A concert finale will be at 5 p.m. April 26.
Registration fee includes workshop, T-shirt, meals and materials. Before April 8, registration is $30 per person for singles or $25 per person for groups. After April 8, registration will be $40 per person. Contact Tristan Traylor, 538-0430, or [email protected] for registration information.
