Lightning illuminates a tree that fell onto Malvern Avenue from the Arlington Course of Hot Springs Country Club, blocking the two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane, Monday evening. At least one vehicle was damaged. More than 8,000 Entergy Arkansas Inc. customers were without service late Monday night as the result of a line of severe thunderstorms that moved through the Hot Springs and Garland County area earlier in the evening. Strong winds toppled trees, blocking roadways and damaging numerous mobile homes in the Mountain Pine Road area. No injuries were reported.
