Dear editor:
My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Hanamaki, Japan, with the Hot Springs Sister City Program. This was an amazing trip and we were so fortunate to have been able to experience Japan in such an exceptional way. We saw sights that most tourists don't see, ate truly authentic and delicious Japanese food, stayed in superbly traditional hotels, and met people who will remain lifelong friends.
If anyone has been thinking of visiting Japan for the first time, this is, without a doubt, the best way to go. This program is in its 23rd year and each trip is a delightful adventure. Check with the Sister City Program and apply for a spot on their next trip.
