Anniversaries

Keith H. and Jean VanOuwerkerk Brown, of Hot Springs Village, will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary Wednesday.

The couple were married Dec. 2, 1950, in Grace Reformed Church, Kohler, Wis., with the Rev. Robert B. Stewart officiating. Keith Brown was born in Chicago and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, in Madison, Wis. He is retired from Mobil Oil Corp. where he was U.S. manager of aviation sales in New York and Fairfax, Va. He is past president of Hot Springs Village Property Owners Association. Jean Brown was born in Sheboygan, Wis., and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in home economics. She was a teacher, and active in Girl Scouts, University Women, PEO and bridge clubs. They are members of Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines.

They are the parents of Kevin J. Brown, of Fargo, N.D., Craig A. Brown, of Athens, Ohio, Nancy B. Kenney, of Wayne, Ill., Martha B. Funsten, of Raleigh, N.C., and Marjorie B. Geuther, of Houston, Texas; and grandparents of Robert Davies, Erin Kenney, Lannie Funsten, Melissa Funsten, Jennifer Funsten, Lt. Megan Geuther, Steve Geuther and Shannon Geuther.

Richard and Kathleen Randel Blauvelt, of Hot Springs and Fort Wayne, Ind., will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary today.

The couple were married Nov. 29, 1945, in The Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist, Hot Springs, with the Rev. McCoy officiating. Richard Blauvelt worked for Penn Central Railroad and Amtrac. Kathleen Blauvelt is a homemaker and was a substitute teacher. They are duplicate bridge players, members of Wiser Bunch and lector for St. John the Baptist, and she is a member of Women's Welcome Club and sewing club for hospital.

They are the parents of Beverly (Pat) Moran, of Naperville, Ill., William (Peggy) Blauvelt, of South Bend, Ind., Robert (Margaret) Blauvelt, of Denver, James (Cyndi) Blauvelt, of Kokomo, Ind., Margaret (Jim) Eckrich, of Fort Wayne, and Richard (Diana) Blauvelt, of Greenwood, Ind. They have 25 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
