Dear editor:
Craig Joyner wrote, "Mr. Wilson stated in his letter dated Nov. 14 that God put Mr. Obama in the White House. I agree, but for what purpose? It might be to punish this nation for the blatant disrespect in denying our Creator."
God put Mr. Obama as president (if the Bible is truth), and He put him there to do good. He has put every human in positions of high, low or mid-ranks in order to do good. While He knows what they will do (most will not consistently do good, and some will very consistently do evil), He gives them both opportunities and the abilities to carry out those opportunities to do good.
God didn't put President Obama into position as a punishment for anyone. President Obama sought peace. I do not agree with his perspectives on a number of issues; yet, I know that he sought peace: to take Americans out of war. (Americans will likely end up in war, regardless; avoiding war often brings war.)
If the Bible is truth, God put Hitler into rank in order for him to do good. He did great destruction, and he led his peoples to ruin. Hitler dedicated himself to the Jews. His fervency for the Jews was such that they were always on his mind. It was like love in its strength; yet, it was hatred. He loved Jewish art, and he feared Jewish science. He feared the presence of Jews as if they were the strongest race on the planet. He glorified the Jews; to "glorify" is "to demonstrate as important." Even when his Third Reich was being destroyed, his "love" for hating the Jews continued.
In a strange way, he served the Jews every day that he was in power, though he sought to annihilate them (while preserving their memory through the artworks that he stole from them). Had Hitler taken over Poland, and then had he promoted the Jews instead of rooting them out, he could have taken over Europe, and he could have made a very strong empire. Poland had the food; Germany had the industry.
Every person and every leader has agendas that they serve (as slaves). President Obama has worked hard for the agendas that his counselors have recommended to him. He has been able to sleep with such a burden on his shoulders! Few could do this! If the Bible is truth, he has angelic help from two opposing sources.
Fearers of the biblical "Gods of Israel" in Daniel did well for leaders who held very different gods from them, and desired those kings to live! So many who claim biblical faith do not have the wisdom and righteousness of Daniel, Hananyah, Mishael and Azaryah in the scroll of Daniel, desiring the ruin of this president whom the Gods of Israel put into power (if the Bible is truth).
When it comes to the vote that matters in any election, the vote of Yehovah of Hosts wins. Who will do good?
