Potter's Clay Thrift

Store seeks volunteers

Potter's Clay Thrift Shop, 1032 Malvern Ave., is in need of volunteers who would be willing to work one day a month. Shirley Bartle, volunteer coordinator, reported in the release that she "has many dedicated volunteers and substitutes from Hot Springs and Hot Springs Village, but more are needed." Volunteers work either the 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. shift or 12:30-4 p.m. one day a month, Monday through Friday.

All of the funds raised at the Potter's Clay Thrift Shop are used by the Potter's Clay Ministries to supply food, shelter, and clothing to women and children in crisis. On average, 50 women with children can be housed from one night to two years, if necessary. Of utmost importance, however, is meeting their spiritual needs in a loving and caring Christian atmosphere. Potter's Clay Ministry is a nonprofit religious and charitable organization. No monies are taken from state, federal or local government.

If interested in volunteering, please call Shirley Bartle, 922-4631, or email [email protected].
