Freshman Kennard leads No. 6 Duke past Utah State, 85-52

DURHAM, N.C. -- Freshman Luke Kennard had the best game of his young career, scoring 22 points to help No. 6 Duke beat Utah State 85-52 on Sunday.

Grayson Allen also scored 22 points for the Blue Devils (6-1), who won their fourth straight game since losing to Kentucky. Duke ran off the first 16 points of the second half and shot 64 percent after the break, turning an 11-point halftime lead into a blowout. Duke shot a season-high 56 percent.

Chris Smith had 13 points for the Aggies (4-1).

No. 7 Oklahoma 65, Wisconsin 48

NORMAN, Okla. -- Ryan Spangler had 20 points and 14 rebounds for Oklahoma.

Spangler made 7 of 9 shots, including 2 of 3 3-pointers, and fell just short of his career high of 21 points. Isaiah Cousins added 14 points for the Sooners (4-0).

Nigel Hayes had 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Badgers (4-3).

No. 11 Arizona 68, Boise State 59

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Allonzo Trier and Kadeem Allen scored 13 points each and Arizona beat Boise State in the third-place game of the DirecTV Wooden Legacy.

Ryan Anderson added 11 points and seven rebounds, and Gabe York and Mark Tollefsen added 10 points each for Arizona. The Wildcats (6-1) were upset by Providence 69-65 in the semifinals after escaping with a 75-73 overtime victory over Santa Clara in the three-day event.

James Webb III led the Broncos (3-4) with 17 points in the second meeting between the teams in 10 days. The Wildcats also beat the Broncos 88-76 in Tucson, Arizona.

Iowa 84, No. 20 Wichita State 62

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Jarrod Uthoff scored 22 points, Adam Woodbury had 15 and Iowa beat Wichita State in the seventh-place game at the AdvoCare Invitational.

Mike Gesell added 14 points for Iowa (4-2) Eric Hamilton led Wichita State (2-4) with 14 points.

Short-handed Wichita State played without forward Anton Grady. He is at an area hospital recovering from what doctors believe is a spinal cord concussion that happened during a collision with an Alabama player on Friday. Doctors found no signs of spinal cord trauma.

No. 23 Xavier 90, Dayton 61

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Edmond Sumner had 14 points to help Xavier beat Dayton in the AdvoCare Invitational title game.

Trevon Bluiett and Myles Davis had 12 points apiece, and J.P. Macura, Jalen Reynolds and Remy Abel each had 11 for Xavier (7-0). Xavier broke open an eight-point halftime advantage by outscoring Dayton 25-4 during the opening 8 minutes of the second half.

Kendall Pollard led Dayton (5-1) with 15 points.

No. 25 SMU 77, Brown 69

UNIVERSITY PARK, Texas -- Keith Frazier scored 23 points and made three 3-pointers to break out of his 3-point shooting slump and lead SMU.

Brown's Steven Spieth scored 14 points in his Dallas homecoming. He is the brother of top-ranked golfer Jordan Spieth.

Markus Kennedy added 15 points for the Mustangs (4-0). Justin Massey scored 16 points for Brown (1-5).
