Union Missionary Baptist Church, in partnership with the Oaklawn Center on Aging, a program of The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Reynolds Institute on Aging and the Arkansas Aging Initiative, the Garland County Library and CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs Senior Center will offer Healthy Cooking at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 13 at Missionary Baptist Church, 217 Gulpha. Kathy Packard, director of education with Oaklawn Center on Aging, will present "Plan Ahead, Holiday Tips." Tools and techniques on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout the holiday season will be offered.

A fall menu will be served for lunch free of charge. Reservations are required to attend. Please call the Oaklawn Center, 623-0020, to make a reservation.

All participants will receive the recipes for the meal along with instructions on how to prepare the food.

Oaklawn Center on Aging is funded by the Oaklawn Foundation.
