Command Sgt. Maj. Jimmy L. Carden visited Jenny Slaton's first-grade class at Lakeside Primary School during Freedom Week. The 35-year military veteran read a story, taught the students how to salute, shared memories and displayed medals he received from his time in the 807th Medical Brigade.
