Dear editor:
Thursday, in the letters to the editor, Mr. and Mrs. Karp thanked Alliance Rubber for the large American flag waving on Alliance property, Carpenter Dam at the bypass. This is not the first acknowledgment noting Alliance's gift. But everyone must be inured to noticing road trash!
Before actually merging west, I am saddened seeing drink cans, fast food wraps, diapers, cigarette stubs, full bags of home garbage. This I see all the way from the Malvern light, out Carpenter Dam and along the bypass to any exit, some worse than others. At city stop lights, it can be just as bad with cigarette throwaways award winners.
Many friends are Arkansas natives and notice what my husband and I do.
