All city offices, other than essential services, will be closed for Labor Day on Monday. Residential waste, leaf and mulch and Earth Angel collection routes will run one day behind schedule following the holiday. Last week, Earth Angels of Hot Springs recycled: 105 pounds, aluminum cans; 4,036 pounds, newspaper; 302 pounds, corrugated cardboard; 14,860 pounds, yard waste; 860 pounds, scrap metal; 2 pounds, phone books. A total of 10.08 tons of recyclable materials were kept out of the landfill.
