Tracie Vaughn, RHIA, has been appointed as the 2016-2017 president of the Arkansas Health Information Management Association.

Vaughn graduated from Garland County Community College with a degree in Health Information Technology and received a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas Tech University, majoring in Health Information Management. She has been employed in a various health care settings for more than 40 years and resides in the Hot Springs area.

She serves the H.I.M. profession on the national level. Vaughn is an American Health Information Management House of Delegates co-chairman and is co-chair of Envisioning Collaborative, a subgroup under the AHIMA House of Delegates, comprised of delegates and subject matter experts. This work group offers analysis of Health Information Management issues and trends influencing the profession and health care.
