Woman reports alleged assault, having hands, mouth duct taped

A Garland County woman was allegedly assaulted Monday afternoon by two known suspects who also duct taped her hands and mouth, according to a Garland County sheriff's report.

The incident report said the alleged victim, who lives on Nickens Street, told sheriff's investigators she was asleep on her living room couch between noon and 1:30 p.m. when she was awakened by someone beating on her front door.

She told the person to "hang on," and when she approached the door she noticed it was no longer locked and was open. The victim then saw a black male standing at the door with a large crow bar, which he used to push her back, allowing him and a white female to enter the residence.

The two suspects allegedly duct taped the victim's hands and mouth. The female suspect began to punch here several times in the mouth followed by the male suspect hitting her in the head with the crow bar. The male suspect threatened the victim with a handgun, but the victim said "she knew it was a BB gun." They then removed the duct tape and fled in a white Honda Accord that the victim noted "was loud."

The victim was observed to have bumps on her head, scratches on her forehead, minor bruising on her arms, a black right eye and swollen lips.

The suspects were described as a 35-year-old white female the victim knew by name and a black male in his 40s the victim knew only by a nickname.

If arrested, they could face aggravated residential burglary charges, punishable by up to life in prison.
