Paraprofessional

to address NAACP

The NAACP, Unit 6013 will meet at 2 p.m. Saturday at Webb Community Center, 127 Pleasant St. The 74-year-old civil rights organization will be addressed by Kim Broadway, of Memphis, Tenn. All are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Broadway is a paraprofessional with Shelby County Schools, White Station Middle. She assists teachers with their teaching duties.

Yard sale Saturday

at Holy Ghost

Holy Ghost Headquarters, 1900 Hobson Ave., will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. There will be gently used clothes and shoes of all sizes.

Eagles 4369 holds

Christmas party

Fraternal Order of Eagles 4369, 817 Hobson Ave., will have its Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. today. A steak dinner will be served for $10, reservations are required. There will be a $10 Pirate Santa gift exchange.

December meeting date

The December meeting of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 5 has moved to 11 a.m. Saturday at Smokin' in Style Bar-B-Que, 2278 Albert Pike. The outside entrance to the big room should be open, members do not need to go through the line. Members are welcome to bring their spouse or significant other as a guest; please sign them in on the guest register sheet.

Emblem Christmas party

slated for Saturday

Hot Springs Emblem Club 194 will host the Christmas party, Nutcracker Suite and the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies Dinner and Dance, with music by Randy McDonald's Fab 3. Dinner will be from 5:50-6:30 p.m. Saturday with the dance from 7-10 p.m. at Elks Lodge, 132 Abbott Place. Tickets are $17.50.
