State party chair to address HSV Republican Women

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Hot Springs Village Republican Women will welcome Doyle Webb, chairman of the Republican Party of Arkansas, during a meeting set for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Ponce de Leon Center, 1101 DeSoto Blvd.

Webb was elected state chairman of the Republican Party of Arkansas in December 2008. He has a long history of service to the party, holding positions as Saline County precinct captain, county secretary and chairman to general counsel of the State Executive Committee.

In 1986, he was elected to serve as justice of the peace for Saline County and served three terms. Webb was also an Arkansas state senator from 1994-2002, and chief of staff to Lt. Gov. Win Rockefeller from 2002-2007.

Since joining the RNC, Webb has been a member of the Committee on Contests. He holds a Juris Doctorate and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and has practiced law for more than 25 years. He resides in Benton with his wife, Barbara.

At the Republican Women's meeting, Webb will discuss the election wrap-up, and the topic, "What Now?"
