Levi Hospital has new

H.I.M. director

Levi Hospital announces Beverly Jackson as the new director of Health Information Management. She has more than 27 years of experience in Health Information Management, having served as the H.I.M. director in Northwest Arkansas for 10 years and then came to Levi Hospital in January 2000 to serve as the director.

Jackson left Levi in 2005 to work as an H.I.M. department consultant covering Texas, Indiana, Ohio and Mississippi. After semi-retirement that began in 2011, Jackson is now back at Levi Hospital to which she and her family are no stranger.

Born at Levi Hospital, as were her siblings and many of her relatives, Jackson's father was a member of Levi's medical staff and performed most of his surgeries at Levi. Her mother was a graduate of Levi's Nursing School and lived in the nurse's quarters, which was later torn down and is now the current site for Levi Towers. "We are happy that Beverly has come home, so to speak," commented Levi Hospital President and CEO Pat McCabe, in the release.

"Health Information Management is vital to the operation of Levi Hospital and the employees of this department organize, analyze and manage health information to ensure its quality, accuracy, accessibility and security, and to ensure appropriate disclosure of information in both paper and electronic systems." McCabe further commented, "Levi Hospital is proud of its rich history and are equally proud of the services we are currently providing Hot Springs and our surrounding communities."
