Lady Cobras win in 2OT, Lee scores 29

FOUNTAIN LAKE -- In her penultimate game at Bass Gymnasium, Pearl Lee scored 29 points Friday night as Fountain Lake's varsity girls basketball team repelled Bauxite 75-69 in double overtime.

Fountain Lake enjoyed a 15-9 scoreboard advantage in the second extra period, regulation ending 51-all and the first overtime 60-60. Bauxite forced extra time with a 22-11 fourth quarter edge.

Bailey Womack added 15 points, Amie Westerman 11 and Emily Johnson 10 for Fountain Lake, 17-7 overall and 10-2 in Class 3A-5. The Lady Cobras play Arkadelphia on Senior Night Tuesday at Bass Gymnasium and finish the regular season Friday at Ashdown, which is host to the district tournament the following week.

Centerpoint-FLJH

FOUNTAIN LAKE -- Both Fountain Lake junior teams ended the regular season Thursday with home losses to Centerpoint, the Cobras falling 31-23 and the girls 42-26.

Ramiro Vazquez had 10 points for the Cobras (10-9) and Colton Carver 16 for the Centerpoint Knights. Lilliana Fehrenbacher scored 22 for the Lady Cobras. The Class 4A-7 district tournament begins today at Waldron.

* Lakeside's eighth-grade girls finished the season 13-0 with Tuesday's 23-13 triumph over Hot Springs.

Chloe Porter had seven points, Amandalyn Bonham five and Abby Mahoney four for the Lady Rams.

Ashton Patrick scored 11 points and Lindsey Davis nine for Lakeside's ninth-grade girls in their 31-24 win over Hot Springs. Belle Neilson scored six points and Emma Riss for the Lady Rams, 17-4 overall and 4-1 in 5A-South before a home game Thursday against Malvern.
