Dear editor:
It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this letter.
After 97 years of service to our community, Hot Springs Lions Club is going to give up its charter and disband. We only have five active members and most of us are up in years. We will distribute what moneys we have left to several nonprofit organizations, as outlined in our constitution and bylaws.
Our last meeting will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the Arlington Hotel. If anyone wants to come, please let me know, so I can give a head count to the hotel.
