Four members, from left, of the new Fountain Lake Cobra Jazz Band are Thomas Whitwell, senior; Irie Thoms, senior; Johnathan Edwards, sophomore; and Jeremy Holmes, freshman. The Cobra Band will start the jazz band to perform at the spring concert and other events around Hot Springs. The jazz band will consist of a variety of instruments, such as saxophones, trumpets, baritones/trombones, drums, piano, bass and rhythm guitar. Members must be in the band to audition unless approved by Fountain Lake band director Patrick Combs.
