Concert set to dedicate Holy Trinity's piano

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- A new Kawai concert grand piano will be dedicated during a performance by acclaimed pianist Tatiana Roitman Mann, set for 3 p.m. Feb. 21 in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 199 Barcelona Road.

The concert is free and open to the public, and a reception will follow in the church's Sifford Hall.

Mann is a versatile artist who has performed concerto, solo and chamber music with equal skill and artistry across North America and Europe. Her 2015-16 concert season includes appearances with the Texarkana Symphony in Mozart's "Piano Concerto No. 23," in Little Rock's River Rhapsodies Chamber Music series, and in the Harding University concert series.

Recent performances include Beethoven's "Piano Concerto No. 4 Op. 58, C," Saint-Saens "Concerto No. 4 Op. 44" in San Diego, G. Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue" with the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony in North Dakota, Beethoven's "Choral Fantasy" in Sydney, Australia, features with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, and within chamber music concerts throughout the United States.

The concert's first half will feature her performing as piano soloist. During the second half, Arkansas Symphony Orchestra cellist Aaron Ludwig will join her on selections for piano and cello. Ludwig recently joined both the ASO and Rockefeller String Quartet.

Holy Trinity's Music Director Ellen Nagode said in a news release, "We are very fortunate to have a true artist with us for this dedication event."
