Rector Heights to hold Beast Feast

Rector Heights Baptist Church, 116 Masters Place, will hold its seventh annual Beast Feast at 5 p.m. Feb. 20. The free meal will feature assorted wild game. Jazz service to celebrate Valentine's Day at UU

Unitarian Universalist Village Church, 403 Barcelona Road, Hot Springs Village, will present a Valentine Morning Jazz Service beginning at 10 a.m. Sunday. Music will be led by John Leisenring, a long-time professor of jazz studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and will feature Doc Ryan, cornet; Earl Hess, clarinet; Doc Leisenring, trombone; Clyde Pound, piano; David Higgenbothem, bass; and Paul Stivits, drums.

Lakeshore Heights to present 'War Room'

Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church, 1420 Lakeshore Drive, will present the movie "War Room" from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a free lunch. "War Room," created by the award-winning Kendrick Brothers, focuses on fighting battles through prayer.

First Presbyterian offers Lenten lunch series

First Presbyterian Church, 213 Whittington Ave., will offer a free Lenten lunch series from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday and continue each Wednesday through Lent. It is open to all denominations.
