Arkansas Officials Association Committee member James O'Neal, of Hot Springs, left, presents Ned Skoog, also of Hot Springs, with a commemorative plaque for being inducted into the AOA Hall of Fame during an honorary banquet July 15 in Horner Hall at Hot Springs Convention Center. Skoog was joined by Ron Bellomy of Paragould, Donald Duncan of Batesville, John Kelley of Little Rock, Leon Sparks of Fort Smith and Redell Thompson of Fayetteville. On the same night, the Arkansas High School Coaches Association inducted Charles Berry of Huntsville (girls basketball), Barry Lunney Sr. of Bentonville (football), Grafton Moore of West Memphis (football), the late Dr. Robert Paynter of Paragould (basketball), Ken Rippy of Booneville (football) and Johnny Toombs of Texarkana (football). Also, the Arkansas High School Athletic Administrators Association honored Bettye Francis of Little Rock, Lee Randall of Cotton Plant and Jim Rowland of Fort Smith.
