No basis in fact

Dear editor:

In a recent letter regarding the Benghazi attack, Bettye Hoffman writes: "she had the power at her fingertips to save their lives and she wouldn't because she (and Obama) were more concerned with their images than with saving those men." This is her partisan opinion with absolutely no basis in fact.

Her fellow Clinton hater, Trey Gowdy, spent millions of dollars and countless hours trying to prove her opinion to be true. After failing nine times, all he could say is "read the report." You could bet if he had any proof at all, he would not be so timid. There is a label for people who do the same thing over and over expecting a different result. Perhaps he would be well advised to get back to work serving the people in the district to which he was elected.

Maybe Mr. Gowdy would like to investigate members of the Bush administration (Chaney, Rumsfield and Rice) to see how much they knew about our friends, the Saudis involvement in 9/11. I guess it was easier, more convenient and much more profitable to blame Iraq. Interesting all the evidence pointing to our allies just recently surfaced. How many Americans gave their lives in Iraq due to this deception?

Never forget.
