Civitans help people in their communities through hands-on service projects, outreach programs and fundraisers for local charitable causes. One Hot Springs Civitan Club fundraiser provides dealers and tables for a Casino Night to local groups. The funds are then used for the club's local community projects. The club has ongoing projects, such as purchasing handicap accessible playground equipment and organizing a Halloween dance each year at Abilities Unlimited.
