Fifteen hand-made fidget quilts were donated in July by members of the Hot Springs Area Quilt Guild to The Caring Place of Hot Springs. Director Lynn Reeves accepted the small quilts to be used as activities for their local participants in The Caring Place's supervised social programs for dementia and Alzheimer's disease.

Fidget quilts are therapeutic lap quilts used to stimulate the mind and keep the hands busy. The HSAQG quilters have chosen to make fidget quilts as one of this year's community service projects, since many in the guild have family and friends afflicted by these diseases.
