Glen Barentine, interim airport director at Hot Springs Memorial Field, was named the new airport manager on Tuesday by City Manager David Frasher. Barentine assumed the position of interim airport director on Feb. 2, following the retirement of George Downie. Frasher's goals for Barentine include developing a new airport master plan and aesthetic improvements; a runway extension; economic development training; and developing long-term budget stability and financial growth for the airport.
