Dear editor:
I think that we should retire all politicians with pensions based on the good they've done the country.
I have a list of potential replacements: Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Elmer Fudd, Bozo, the Tin Man, Paw Patrol, a Polly parrot, Jed Clampett, Clem Kadiddlehopper, Barney Fife, Tarzan, Gomer Pyle and my six brilliant great-grandkids -- ages 1 year to 6 years.
Wait though, except for my "greats," we'd be getting more of the same. (No offense Mickey, etc., at least you "characters" are fulfilling your job description.)
We can only hope and pray that our kids, their kids and their kids will see where our country is headed and work hard to bring back the USA.
We have all heard and said "God bless America" all our lives. Galatians 6:7 says, "Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked." Think about it.
I have a beautiful, hardworking, dependable and Christian family (not in word only, but in deed). I am so blessed. I know many of you are also blessed, as I am. These kids have an important role to play in saving America.
