AGC Arkansas names executive vice president

J. Kelly Robbins has been named the executive vice president of AGC Arkansas, the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, located in Little Rock. Robbins brings with him experience in trade association management, Chamber of Commerce leadership and knowledge gained through service on congressional staffs. Most recently, he served as the executive vice president of the Arkansas Independent Producers & Royalty Owners Association, established to represent all sectors of Arkansas' oil and natural gas production community.

A member of the American Society of Association Executives, Arkansas Society of Professional Lobbyists, Arkansas Officials Association and an active member in First Baptist Church of Hot Springs, Robbins brings with him a "strong commitment to community organizations." Robbins pairs his personal commitment to his community with his background in advocacy efforts and notes, "I am humbled to have the opportunity to work with and for an industry that provides so much for our state. Contractors and their efforts provide wonderful employment opportunities for our fellow Arkansans and help meet the ongoing demand for infrastructure improvements and expansions," in the release.

Upon Robbins' employment AGC Arkansas Board President William Fletcher, of Kinco Constructors, commented, "Kelly brings the right balance of advocacy and leadership skills to take AGC Arkansas to the next level. We look forward to the impact his experience will have on the construction industry as we continue our momentum as the go-to voice for commercial construction with the state legislature."

AGC Arkansas is a voluntary trade association of commercial general contracting firms (highway, building and utility); specialty contractors; and supply and service firms. The Arkansas Chapter was established in 1934 and is the oldest and largest association of general contractors in the state.
