Gethsemane MBC to hold Women's Day program

Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church, 120 Blake St., will celebrate its annual Women's Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. Cathy Crossley, first lady of St. Mark Baptist Church, will speak. All are welcome.

Backus to teach at First Lutheran

Jerry Backus will teach on "How to Listen to the Holy Spirit" from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church, 105 Village Road. Backus is a missionary in Africa who built an orphan village in Tanzania and author who has spoken at the Pentagon. All are welcome. For information call 525-0322.

Malvern District COGIC to hold revival

The Malvern District COGIC Evangelist Department will hold a Holy Ghost Revival at St. Phillip COGIC, 237 Walnut St., at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Evangelist missionary Judy Pierce, of Deliverance Temple COGIC, Malvern, will speak. All are welcome. For information call 332-6715 or 229-2095.

Visitors Chapel AME to celebrate Women's Day

Historic Visitors Chapel AME Church, 319 Church St., will celebrate Women's Day at 4 p.m. today with #Fashion Flair and 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday with services. The theme for both days will be "Women Thirsty for God." #Fashion Flair will take place in the fellowship hall and include fashions for men and women, food and favors. Cost for this event is a $10 donation. Sister Clara Puckett will speak at the 11 a.m. service, and the Rev. Joyce Campbell, of St. Andrews AME Church, Little Rock, will deliver the 3 p.m. message.

St. Phillips COGIC to celebrate Women's Day

St. Phillips COGIC, 237 Walnut St., will celebrate its Women's Day service at 11:15 a.m. Sunday. District missionary Carolyn Wilkerson, of the Malvern District, Arkansas First Jurisdiction COGIC, will be the guest speaker. All are welcome.

New St. Paul to celebrate Men and Women's Day

The New St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, 330 Garland, will celebrate its Men and Women's Day program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The theme will be "Walking in Faith, Trusting the Promise." Pastor Fred Nicholson will deliver the message. Guest church will be Immanuel Christian Fellowship Church.

Gospel Mission to hold 'Women In White Service'

Gospel Mission COGIC, 1107 Spring St., will hold its "Women In White Service" at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be evangelist Idella Harris, of Greater St. Paul Baptist. The theme will be "Women In White Who Fear the Lord." All are welcome.

Haven UMC to celebrate Women's Day

Haven United Methodist Church, 107 Burroughs, will celebrate Women's Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. Joycelyn Elders, the first black Surgeon General of the United States and Arkansas native, will speak on "Women Growing In Blessedness."

Faith UMC to hold revival

Faith United Methodist Church, 321 Nash St., will hold a revival conducted by the Rev. Raymond Graham, of Jamaica. Services will be 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, and 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

Graham earned diplomas in theology at Caribbean Christ for the Nations and at International Seminary. He has a bachelor's and master's degree in Christian Education from Shalom Bible College and Seminary.

He has pastored the Porus Church of God in Christ and the Bleheim Faith Assemblies of God Church and is the founder and pastor of the Global Advance Life Church in Chapelton, Jamaica.

He is the founder and president of the Accessing Grace Today, an evangelism organization. He has ministered internationally. Graham has served as a staff member for Campus Crusade for Christ International and president of the Caribbean Christ for the Nations Alumni Association. He has taught at the Ebenezer Bible Institute.
