Resort TV Cable sponsors Cutter Morning Star School Transition Night

Resort TV Cable sponsored a CMS transition parent meeting to benefit the school transition program. Lisa Washington, transition consultant, presented the group with details on transitioning their students to programs after graduating high school. There were several area agencies and companies that set up a table with information and Resort TV Cable provided the dinner and refreshments and presented CMS with a flat screen TV and Apple Air for their classroom. Robert Sluppick, installation manager for Resort TV Cable, talked about careers offered in the industry and demonstrated the future of fiber optic services.

Gentiva Hospice was represented by Kitty Conrad, who spoke about scholarships and volunteering. Sheila, from Petra, detailed programs they offer new graduates. Donna Hill, Class 101, provided information on local college programs. Arkansas Career Training Institute was highlighted during the evening. Washington provided information on all the ways CMS is available to help their students after graduation.

Cathy Davis, CMS special education/transition teacher, coordinated the event and thanked all the parents, students, agencies and companies for their support of her students as they start a new chapter of their lives.
