It wouldn't be Christmas without attending the big Christmas Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at Central Avenue Market Place and Flea Market. Formerly Central Station Market Place, this event has been a tradition for years. It is a time for vendors to share the holiday spirit with their customers by treating them to a special buffet luncheon. There will be door prizes and special savings by individual vendors throughout this unique shopping location.
"Central Avenue Market Place is certainly a different shopping experience than anywhere else in Hot Springs. Since relocating the business to Temperance Hill Square from Central City Shopping Center on Friday, July 1, comments from shoppers are that the store is 'so bright,' 'beautiful' and 'it is so easy to find everything,'" states the press release.
Enjoy browsing and shopping from room to room in more than 24,000 square feet of comfort in individual shopping spaces rented by many of the vendors from the original location and many new ones moving in monthly. There is always something new to see.
The merchandise includes antiques and collectibles, jewelry, new items, craft items, glassware, dishes and home decor, furniture, designer and vintage clothes and shoes, comics, toys, records, Egyptian comfort sheets, custom carved rocks, essential and aromatherapy oils, metal signs, leather and more. Shoppers will find handcrafted metal sculptures from frogs to Razorbacks to decorate their home and lawn. Enjoy browsing the Market Place for vintage jewelry, custom designed jewelry, including spoon and snap jewelry, unique decor, pallet art and great gift ideas. "Yes, Shirley and Mack have their special place full of lovely glassware and vintage items. You'll also find books, CDs, DVDs and so much more. If you can imagine it, it is probably at Central Avenue Market Place," continues the release.
