Rock Hill Christian Church will celebrate its new location at 871 Whittington Ave. today and Sunday.

The community is welcome to a cookout from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. today where everyone can get to know one another. There will be free food, games, prizes and more.

Celebration Sunday will be recognized at 10 a.m. and the new pastor and first lady, Brother John and Tijauna Richardson, will be installed.

The members have many ideas of ways that they can serve the neighborhood, including workshops to teach people how to do basic things from changing their oil to managing their finances. The plans include offering a dance/workout night to come together and burn some calories and learn about health and nutrition.

But first members want to meet with the community and find out how they can serve them. Rock Hill wants to be a place to come to when there is nowhere else to go, where people can find people who care about what they are going through. For more information, email [email protected]
