POA announces staff promotions

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Through a series of promotions and staff realignments, Hot Springs Village signals a continued commitment to creating and protecting value through sustainable growth, in preparation for its 2017 real estate sales program launch. As part of the realignment, new roles were announced for both Stephanie Heffer and Stacy Hoover.

Heffer was appointed director of placemaking and development. Her new role surrounds designing a proactive placemaking and development strategy to support Hot Springs Village's enterprise goals. Complimenting efforts by the director of sales and marketing, she will identify opportunities for ongoing community development, revitalization projects, and emerging programming trends.

Heffer was originally hired in 1990, and has worked in a variety of departments including accounting, golf and, most recently, recreation.

"Having someone so passionate about all this community already is, while keeping an eye toward the future of real estate development trends, will ensure our continued recognition as a leader in the retirement and relocation arena," Lesley Nalley said of Heffer in a news release.

Nalley, now serving as the CFO for the Village, will assume the chief executive officer role on Dec. 1.

Hoover will leave her position as director of recreation operations to take on Heffer's previous job as director of recreation. Originally hired in 2001, Hoover served as communications specialist before transferring to the Recreation Department in 2011.

In her new role, she will have oversight of the Coronado Community Center, Ponce de Leon Center, the Coronado Fitness Center, trails, pools, youth programs, the tennis center, library, RV park, dog park, outdoor recreation, Waypoint Marina, beaches and pavilions.
