Sheriff's captain retires

Garland County sheriff's Captain Carl Lacey, left, receives a plaque from Sheriff Mike McCormick to honor his service as he retires after working for the department for more than 39 years. Lacey began his career at the department on June 24, 1977, as a detention deputy at the Garland County Courthouse Jail. He has held various ranks and assignments within the detention division including sergeant, lieutenant and captain/jail administrator.
