Absentee ballots for the Nov. 8 general election are now available at the Garland County clerk's office in Room 103 of the Garland County Court House.
Nov. 1 is the deadline for absentee ballot applications to be received by the clerk's office. The deadline for receipt of absentee ballots by mail is 7 p.m. on Election Day. Ballots may be delivered in person until Nov. 7. Absentee voters overseas or serving in the military have until Nov. 18 to get their ballots to the clerk's office.
The voter registration deadline is Oct. 9. Voters have until Nov. 4 to transfer registration from another county.
Absentee ballot applications, voter registration forms, voter address change forms and a sample ballot are available at the clerk's website, http://www.garcoclerk.com. Voters are asked to call 622-3616 to notify the clerk's office of a change in address before they go to the polls.
Early voting begins Oct. 24.
