Vote out the dictators

Dear editor:

How ridiculous can it get? In a recent letter to the editor, Mr. Grogan said "some of the resistance to annexation was genuine, but mostly it was politics inspired by the usual suspects (tea party, GGGG and others in the county that hate the city)." The only politics involved in the annexation I am aware of is our local politicians who made a law which allowed our local dictators the so-called right to "annexation without representation."

I don't belong to any political party as I believe there is too much corruption in politics. Recently, I was invited to attend a tea party meeting. Having heard the mainstream media refer to the tea party as political right-wing conservatives, I decided to sit in and see for myself. I was pleased to see the only agenda the tea party had was how to make things better for Hot Springs and for citizens' rights.

I believe the silent majority's rights are too often ignored. I have decided I would be silent no more. I hope more of the silent majority will speak out. I have lived in the city, and my wife and I ran a very successful business in the city for 35 years. When I retired, I chose to live in the county. My only problem with "the city" was with the city dictators. With the exception of Mayor Carney, the city board has never had the best interests of the city and its citizens at heart. Only their personal agenda was important.

I assume Mr. Grogan hates anyone living in the county. I wonder how he would feel if a few dictators were to say we are rezoning your home to the county?

Mr. Grogan must also have a problem with Rick Ramick, as Rick also lives in the county. Mr. Ramick serves on the board of dictators. He is one of the dictators who voted for annexation. Why? So he could continue to serve as a dictator. I believe to serve as a dictator, you must live in the area you represent. It amazes me that the city attorney or city manager have not asked for Mr. Ramick's resignation.

The only way a change can be made is for the silent majority to be heard and for concerned citizens to band together and vote the current dictators out of office.
