ARKADELPHIA -- Henderson State University Theatre and Dance will present three performances of Dance Company in Concert beginning Sunday. Original works choreographed by students, guest artists and director Jennifer Maddox will be performed in the Arkansas Hall Auditorium.
Performances are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. All performances are open to the public.
The student dance company will show its diverse abilities through choreography and performance. Guest artist choreographers include Ronya-Lee Anderson, Kathleen Marleneanu and Brandyn Smith. Maddox set "Unfolding the Global Family Within," a contemporary piece about the human condition, to the music of Alexandre Desplat. Maddox is Henderson's artist in residence.
Admission is $8, or free for Henderson students with ID.
