Barbecue grill contest to be held Saturday
In the Hands of the Potter Ministries, 847 Third Street, will host a barbecue grill contest at noon Saturday to feed the needy. The church's goal is to feed 100 people.
AARP driver safety class at Kirk in the Pines
HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- An AARP Smart Driver course will be sponsored by Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church, 275 Asturias Drive, at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 16. Qualified graduates are eligible for an auto insurance discount.
There is a $15 fee for AARP members and $20 fee for nonmembers to cover course materials. Bring your driver's license and, if applicable, AARP membership card. Call 922-1333 to enroll.
