I'm happy to hear that the chief of police is going to take a more proactive role in getting more animals adopted from Hot Springs Animal Services.
I checked the HSAS website, which lists animal adoption times as Monday through Friday, noon to 5 p.m. Those are working hours for most people. Why not make it easier for average folks to visit the shelter looking to adopt? An hour or two later on working days and three or four hours on Saturday would make it a lot easier to view the animals. Most working people are reluctant to take off work to do so. It is encouraging to see progress made.
