Financial adviser joins Bobby Brown staff

Bobby Brown, of Bobby Brown Private Wealth Advisors, announced that Brooke Dodd, financial adviser, has joined the group. "Brooke Dodd comes with a wealth of experience within the industry, having spent the last 10 years at another financial firm where she was first a sales assistant and then became a financial adviser," states the press release.

Dodd joins Bobby Brown Private Wealth Advisors as the firm continues to grow utilizing its team approach. Dodd is a native of Hot Springs, having attended Lakeside School, where she met her husband, Nick Dodd. She graduated from University of Arkansas at Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Finance. She and Nick Dodd have been married for 16 years. He works at First Arkansas Insurance as a licensed insurance agent. They have two children, Hayden, 14, and Hannah Blair, 12, who are also attend Lakeside School. Dodd has her Series 7, Series 66 and her life and health insurance license. She is a member of the Oaklawn Rotary Club. She and Nick Dodd love to travel and spend quality time with their families.

Keith Smith Co., the nation's largest independent producer and provider of broiler hatching eggs to the poultry industry, has promoted Syd Tatum to live production manager. The position primarily oversees pullet development and hatching egg production, as well as contract grower operations.

"Syd has been highly influential in maximizing the value and performance of our live production department and its grower base," said KSC President and CEO Jim Smith in the press release. "His three decades of experience in poultry production make him a natural fit to lead our animal husbandry operations. He's an industry veteran and we could not be more excited for the value he will bring to our customers."

Tatum joined Keith Smith Co. earlier this year as pullet field operations manager. A Louisiana native, Tatum holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness and is recognized in the industry for his ability to build and sustain successful broiler hatching egg operations from the ground up.

"I'm honored to lead KSC's broiler breeder operations," said Tatum. "I look forward to working with our talented production team to enhance the long-term success of our local growers and provide the best possible product to our customers."

Tatum's promotion continues recent efforts of Keith Smith Co. to develop an innovative management structure that works to proactively serve growers, increase efficiency and produce a better-quality product.

In 2016, KSC sold 336 million eggs to customers located in nine countries across the globe. The company has 110 employees and more than 75 growers.

David Trice added to HS

Metro Partnership board

The Hot Springs Metro Partnership Chair James Montgomery announced that David Trice has been nominated to serve on the organization's Board of Directors through 2018. Trice is the president of Region's Bank, an investor in the Hot Springs Metro Partnership and is an active community leader.

"David brings new leadership to the Partnership board representing Region's Bank. I appreciate David's willingness to serve starting mid-year, replacing Board Member Dale Horn," said Montgomery in the press release.

Trice has been with Region's Bank for 14 years and is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hot Springs National Park Rotary Club and is on the Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce Board.

"Region's Bank has a long history of leadership and support for economic development in Hot Springs," said president and CEO Jim Fram. "We look forward to David's leadership on our Board of Directors."
