Sheriff's Reserve unit releases November hours

Garland County Sheriff's Reserve Capt. Hank Nowak reports that reserve deputies worked a total of 431 hours in November, including 160 hours in the patrol division, responding to 47 calls and writing 11 reports.

"Several members worked a joint operation with the state and city police one weekend evening aimed at traffic enforcement, DWI crackdown, and warrant service throughout various regions of the city/county," Nowak said.

The unit, which is comprised of unpaid volunteers, provides support to the sheriff 's department's different divisions throughout the year.
