The 2017 Garland County Fair was host to "one of the finest junior livestock exhibitions in the state this fall," states the press release. Youths from several school districts displayed the results of their year of hard work breeding, birthing, raising and grooming their animals for the fair.

"Caring for and preparing these animals takes a tremendous amount of daily dedication throughout the year prior to the fair. With such a high quality of livestock shown by more than 150 youths this year, achieving grand or reserve status was a commendable honor." Shown are the grand and reserve champions.

Farm Bureau board member Keith Rucker commented in the release, "The United States depends on farmers to provide the food for our entire nation, plus much of the world. Without these kids, and kids like them throughout the country, there will be no food on the shelves of our supermarkets in the future. Their dedication to farming and raising livestock deserves all the assistance and encouragement they can get."
