I want to thank Faith UMC for hosting my presentation of selections, along with gospel songs, from my new book, "Female Voices from the Bible," on Sunday, Dec. 3. The group outdid themselves with praise and with good refreshment at the reception following.
I have been presenting this program to church groups that invite me since late fall. I presented to Haven UMC a few weeks ago, with an outstanding reception, and will present to a church group in Arkadelphia and one in Gurdon in January and to one in southwest Arkansas later.
There is no charge for the presentations; it is just my way of showing daring and intelligent women of the ancient world and their good deeds as a means of producing an inspirational hour.
