National Park College student-athletes from the Garland County area and region are among the leading players for the Nighthawks in the school's first season of club basketball.

Hot Springs alum K.J. Corder is second on the Nighthawks (2-3) with 19 points per game and seven rebounds. Corder was a senior on the 2014-15 team at Hot Springs to make the Class 5A state semifinals.

The Nighthawk leader in scoring and rebounds is Braylon Steen, of Benton, who is averaging 20.5 points and eight rebounds per contest. His teammates from Benton, Lowell Washington, is third on the team in scoring, 13.5 points per game, and rebounding, five per game.

Jordan Harper, a true freshman from Lake Hamilton, is eighth on the Nighthawks in scoring with 5.5 points per game.

National Park College's men's roster also includes Domonique Pondexter, of Hot Springs, and Mikey Sims, of Cutter Morning Star.

Jarvis Ricks, of North Little Rock is fourth on the team in scoring with 12.7 per game this season. Corder, Ricks and Steen each average three assists per contest.

Seth Duke, of Gravette, and Clyde Ricks, of Hope, lead the team with four assists per game each. The two guards are averaging seven and 6.5 points per game, respectively. Logan Willett, a graduate of Faith Prep Academy in West Memphis, is fifth on the team in scoring with 8.5 points per game.

The women's team at National Park College also features local athletes. This year's roster includes Kacie Anderson, Kirby; Faith Bratton, Jessieville; Anna Ledbetter, Lake Hamilton; Brooke Meeks, Mountain Pine; Jaylin Ramsey, Kirby; Kayla Sims, Fountain Lake; and Bailey Womack, Fountain Lake.

The women's team's stats were not available by presstime Monday.
